Our company has brought in an outside group to provide a bootcamp style workout class during lunch. We had our first week of it as a trial this week. There was really good turnout. I went on Monday and again today. I'm sore, but I'm very satisfied with the amount of exercise I got. I also know just how horribly out of shape I really am and I'm excited about watching that improve over the course of doing these classes.

Office Whiteboard update
Well, apparently a new rule went into effect that says our painted-on whiteboards have to be rectangular. So, mine was started today and it's a just boring old rectangle. Here's a couple of photos.

Two coats have been painted and the guy will be back on Wednesday to paint two more coats. I need to bring in my leftover purple paint so he can make some touch-ups to the edges because he said the whiteboard paint tends to bleed quite a bit. I won't be able to use it until Friday.
I may try to figure out a way to tape on additional materials to make it look castle-like. I'll have to think on it and try out some things when it's all dry and ready to use.
The whiteboard from my old office was sitting around waiting to be put up and now that I have a bigger, painted on whiteboard, I won't be using the old one. So, I took some photos of the Punkin's irreplaceable artwork that has been on it. Along with the other work-related stuff that I may actually need in the future.

princess office
As I have posted here before, I painted my office at work purple. Now I have the option of having a custom white board painted in any shape I wish. I haven't put up a whiteboard yet because the place that mine is supposed to hang is blocked by my big bookcase and I was waiting around to get a new one.
Now they are doing this thing at work with some whiteboard paint and I have been told that I can be added to the schedule. I'll have to tape off the area myself, but I can have any shape I want. I joked around about a unicorn, but in all actuality, when I got to thinking about it, I think a castle would be perfect. Then I can truly have a nice princess office, but yet the result after I move my stuff out would be something that a lot of guys would enjoy as well.
Here's my 5 minute MS Paint rendering of what I'm thinking.
It's unmistakably castle shaped, but yet it's a nice mostly rectangular area that actually is quite functional as a whiteboard.

Office Painting
Mosquito and I painted my new office. I knew I wanted to paint my office purple, but I was having a hard time deciding on the exact shade of purple I wanted. Then I realized that a gallon of paint was like $20! And I wasn't completely convinced that one gallon would do it.
So, I went around to some of the Home Depots, starting last night with the one near my work, looking at their "Oops" paint selection. You know, the colors they got wrong for someone else's color selection and so sell for super cheap ($5/gallon $1/quart.) I didn't find any at the place last night and we had stuff to do, so we couldn't go around looking.
This morning I went to the one near my house and didn't find a very good selection either. Then I decided to try a Home Depot that is in Bellevue, which is on my way from home to work. I would also see if Lowe's sold their mistake paint for cheap too. But, lo and behold, I found a gallon in a pretty shade of dark red and a quart in a horrible shade of bright blue that I thought would mix together well and figured for $6 it was worth a shot.
They mixed together for the prettiest shade of purple. I'm not sure if the photos will do it justice. Plus, the completed ones are done at night, so the color won't look quite right anyway.

At one point a guy came in to do some floor cleaning. We were just starting and I only had some edging done on one wall. He said he liked the color.
A co-worker came in when we were just starting the 2nd coat. He really liked the color. He said it was the exact color from my fantasy PSP picture. I don't think it's quite that color, but it's equally as pretty.

Let the sun shine in!
I just found out that I will be moving offices. I'm not moving far, just across the hall. But the important thing is that my office will now have a window! Someone left who had an awesome office and so people are moving up the chain and I'm the windowless person highest on the seniority list, so I get the office that my boss will be vacating tomorrow.
Now I just need to find the perfect shade of purple to go in there. I'll be planning on painting it this weekend. And I will never, ever move offices again. It's in a great location and it has a window and it will be a color of my own choosing. Maybe even with some pink polka dots!!!
